Friday 15 February 2013 - KOOSA Kids Raise Over £2000 for Make-A-Wish

Throughout 2012, we set ourselves a challenge to raise £1000 for local charity, Make-A-Wish Foundation, by running various fund-raising initiatives throughout the year at our after school and holiday clubs.

Make-A-Wish, based in Camberley, grants magical wishes to thousands of children and young adults with life-threatening conditions.  There are currently 20,000 children and young people in the UK fighting a life threatening condition and this year alone 1,200 children will turn to Make-A-Wish to have their wish granted.

The energy, enthusiasm and support from the children, parents and staff at the clubs was incredible and the Pennies for Wishes money-box appeal, cake sales, fun runs and the final Olympic Challenge at the summer holiday clubs helped us to not just reach our target, but to completely smash it by raising a total of £2112.33!

A masive thank you to all staff, children and parents that took part!
