Wednesday 23 April 2014 - After School Club 'Things That Fly' Theme

Dear Parent/Guardian,

We are pleased to let you know that between 29th April and 23rd May our after school clubs will be adopting a 'Things That Fly' theme, celebrating the wonderful world of 'flight'!

The half term will be jam-packed with design, create and play activities that are sure to capture your child's imagination.  We would love to see if they can design some new things that fly, and we plan to test every single one of them!  Here are just a couple of activity highlights throughout the half term;

Fly a Kite Week - Starts 12th May

We hope all the children will be ready for the challenge of working together as a team to make a 'Club Kite'.  We will provide the materials required to make the kite, and the children will have the opportunity to not only help design and create the kite, but we will also be testing it out on Wednesday 14th May – weather permitting!

Art Attack - Starts 19th May

In the last week of term the children can take part in the 'Things that Fly' Art Attack! Children will design and create their own model, or do a painting or drawing of an object that flies.  We will then add all of the models and pictures onto a large wall poster for display.
