Impact of Possible Industrial Action by Teachers on KOOSA Kids Breakfast and After School Clubs

We are aware that a number of possible strike days have been announced by teaching unions. Please find below detailed information on how the possible industrial action by teachers impacts KOOSA Kids breakfast and after school clubs.

Wednesday 5th & Friday 7th July

We are planning to operate our breakfast and after school clubs as normal, unless a school confirms they will be closed, and we therefore do not have access to the venue.

Below, please find a list of confirmed positions. For school’s not confirmed yet, please assume we are operating as normal until confirmed otherwise. We will update this page as soon as we gain information from schools.

KOOSA Kids Breakfast and/or After School Club

Your children are able to attend any booked sessions where our clubs are open. If your child’s class is not attending school that day, please drop off at the usual time for breakfast club sessions and collect at school start time. For after school club sessions, please drop off your child at school finish time and collect by 6pm as usual.

What happens if the school my child attends is fully closed?

Where schools make the difficult decision to close fully due to teachers’ strikes, we are unfortunately unable to provide a credit or refund for sessions booked that day.

We are ready and able to deliver our service but are unable to do so due to the school’s decision to close in its entirety. All of our costs have however already been incurred, staff are contracted to work and will have to be paid. We understand this is very frustrating for parents, however we hope you can understand that the decision to close the school is out of our hands.
