Due to continued growth, a fantastic opportunity has developed for the right individual to join our Head Office Team as a Regional Manager. KOOSA Kids are the leading provider of fun & affordable before, after school and holiday childcare, with an unrivalled number of clubs rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. Under direction of the Quality Assurance Manager and Operations Manager, you will operationally manage all aspects of a number of after school clubs, breakfast clubs and holiday clubs within an allocated geographical region. You will ensure KOOSA Kids are delivering high quality, professional and fun childcare at all times, working to and exceeding agreed KPI’s.
As Regional Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective running of the clubs in your region, working closely with the Quality and Delivery Manager and Training and Development Manager to ensure outstanding practice is delivered at all times.
You will do so by ensuring your clubs are adequately staffed; have sufficient equipment, snacks and materials for day-to-day operations and your club staff have the relevant knowledge, tools and support to operate to expected standards.
You will be out on site every day, actively supporting & auditing your clubs, focusing on quality of delivery, observing staff and club performance, working with the site supervisor to create support and improvement plans where necessary, as well as covering for staff absences when required.
You will be responsible for staff management & retention for the clubs in your region, directly line-managing, supporting and developing part-time and casual staff in-line with KOOSA Kids policies.
Underpinning everything you do, will be the desire to deliver outstanding levels of childcare at our after school clubs, breakfast clubs and holiday clubs, in-line with KOOSA Kids and Ofsted standards, ensuring the children in our care are provided with a safe and secure environment where they can explore, grow and have FUN!
Operationally manage all aspects of a number of after school clubs, breakfast clubs and holiday clubs within an allocated geographical region, ensuring high quality, professional and fun childcare is delivered at all times, working to and exceeding agreed KPI’s
Spending time at your clubs regularly, supporting & developing your teams
Actively develop a high level understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, staying up to date with latest training as and when required
Support and contribute in the preparation of the Ofsted inspection process
Working closely with the Quality and Delivery Manager and Training and Development Manager, ensure Outstanding practice is delivered at all KOOSA Kids holiday clubs, after school clubs and breakfast clubs
Assist in delivering recruitment activities, including College & Community Recruitment, attending job and college fairs etc
Interview Part-Time and Casual staff and hold group interviews
Organising and attending New Parent Evenings, School Fetes and Taster Sessions
Provide direct cover at the Breakfast and/or After School Clubs as and when required
Skills & Experience
Minimum 2-3 years management experience in a childcare, early years or playwork setting
A minimum of level 3 NVQ / Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent)
Full driving license with access to your own vehicle essential
Be inspirational, bringing fun and creativeness to the team
Have a fun and energetic nature
Be reliable and passionate over everything else
Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 13 years
Be a people person with fantastic communication skills
Have the ability to motivate others to deliver to the highest standard
Have the ability to be cleared for an enhanced DBS check
Monday - Friday, 9.30am - 6.00pm + additional hours during school holidays
Time will be split between office and 'on-site' based work
