We are now recruiting for a Playwork Assistant at our after school club at Shottermill Junior School in Haslemere, Surrey (GU27) and that person could be you!
Our after school clubs in Haslemere are easily accessible by public transport, with direct trains from e.g. Guildford, Godalming or Chiddingfold providing an easy commute to work.
Please note this role is not suitable for those in College or University.
As a Playwork Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the After School Club Manager alongside other Playwork Assistants in the safe and organised running of the club whilst actively and enthusiastically supporting and engaging children aged 4-13.
As an integral part of the team, you will assist in the delivery of a range of playwork activities such as Arts & Crafts, Sports, Team Games and other activities. Playwork is about removing barriers to play, and enriching the play environment, whilst providing a safe and secure setting for the children in your care. Enabling each child to explore, grow and have FUN!
Skills & Experience
This role would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Assistant, or someone looking to move into the childcare industry
Monday - Friday, 2.45pm – 6.00pm, term-time only
